India stands at the cusp of one of the largest infrastructure transformations in its history. From smart cities and high-speed rail to airports, highways and sustainable urban development, the country is investing in infrastructure at an unprecedented scale and is set to invest more than ₹111 lakh crore in infrastructure, making it one of the world's largest construction markets. But while the scale of the vision is ambitious, building the India of tomorrow will require more than capital and technology. It will require a workforce equipped with the digital skills to design, deliver and manage the built environment of the next two decades to achieve a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
In light of recognising this gap and opportunity, Novatr and Nemetschek India have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to help strengthen and build India's Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) talent ecosystem. Together, the two organisations aim to make globally recognised technologies, industry-relevant learning and digital capabilities more accessible to students, professionals, enterprises and academic institutions across the country.
Through this collaboration, Novatr learners will gain access to Nemetschek's leading technology portfolio, including Graphisoft Archicad, Allplan, Bluebeam, Solibri and Vectorworks. These technologies will be integrated into Novatr's project-based, cohort-driven programmes, alongside dedicated certification pathways that enable learners to build practical, job-ready skills through real-world projects and industry-standard digital workflows.
Commenting on the partnership, Harkunwar Singh, Co-founder & CEO, Novatr, said that "The future of the AEC industry depends on professionals who are proficient in digital design, collaboration and construction technologies. By partnering with Nemetschek India, we are enabling learners to master globally used BIM platforms while working on real-world industry scenarios. This collaboration strengthens our mission of making India's AEC workforce globally competitive and helping employers access talent that is productive from day one."
The partnership further strengthens Nemetschek India and Novatr’s commitment to building higher standards of education in the country. In recent years, Nemetschek India has partnered with leading institutions such as IIT Madras, VJTI, the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), and KIIT, while also expanding its Global Capability Centre in India. Now, Novatr is joining the esteemed lineup. This new collaboration is designed to equip talent for the future of digital construction.
Speaking on the collaboration, Alok Sharma, Managing Director and Vice President, Nemetschek India, said: "India is entering a defining decade for infrastructure and urban development, where digital technologies and AI will determine how efficiently we design, build and operate our built environment. While BIM adoption is accelerating rapidly, the availability of industry-ready digital talent remains one of the sector's biggest challenges. Our partnership with Novatr reflects Nemetschek's long-term commitment to developing future-ready professionals by giving them access to globally recognised BIM and AI-driven technologies, practical project experience and internationally relevant digital workflows. Together, we aim to build a stronger, globally competitive talent pipeline, one that not only supports India's transition towards smarter, more sustainable and technology-driven construction, but is also skilled enough to cater to global design and engineering needs."
Beyond software training, the collaboration will provide learners with access to industry-recognized certifications, mentorship opportunities, real-world project experience, and placement support through Novatr's extensive employer network. The initiative also focuses on helping working professionals upskill and transition into higher-value BIM and digital engineering roles, as organizations increasingly embrace collaborative digital delivery models.
